Barnes & Noble Mini Maker Faire 2015

Barnes & Noble - in partnership with Make: Magazine - launched the first-ever Mini Maker Faire at all of their stores nationwide on November 6th, 7th and 8th, 2015. Innovators Inc. participated in Mini Maker Faire at four New Jersey locations - Clark, Livingston, Morris Plains and Paramus - delivering their own free, hands-on technology workshops to over 80 children.

The Workshops: Kids, Hack Your Mechanical Tabletop Crab!

The "maker movement" is typified both by individuals taking familiar things apart to understand their inner-workings and by being empowered to put new things together and create the world that they imagine. Innovators Inc. developed a one-hour workshop entitled, "Kids, Hack Your Mechanical Tabletop Crab!" in which children from 8 to 12 years old could experience both. The workshop is based on the 4M Tabletop Robot engineering kit widely available at Barnes & Noble stores.

All 16 workshops went smoothly and were very well received by children, parents and store management.
